Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

Invasion of the Body Snatchers is one of the most famous science-fiction movies ever, maybe there are like 100 versions of it, however, Don Siegel in 1956 made in my opinion, the best version of this classic. The camera work is great, the cast makes a fantastic job, and combined with the plot, this film is really entertaining. My biggest issue is the lack of depth in the story, it is true that the film criticizes about Communism or Socialism, but in just a few scenes. I feel like a film with this plot could make a great metaphor or criticize it and more, for example; a society with no feelings and totally equally is more beneficial and respectful with the environment? An extreme equally is fair? Why there are people who prefer leaving in a world with rules and obligations than a free world… these are only a few ideas. Despite being only an entertaining movie it is still a nice film due to characters and direction.
