Stalker

Andréi Tarkovski is definitely one of the most important and better directors of all time. I love this movie and I just recommend it to people who really like cinema. Stalker is a slow burn movie, it takes time to explain things and sometimes it doesn’t, in some parts you have to interpret the images, in this film the image, colors and silence are very important. Despite it is not an easy movie to understand, I think if you are attentive and thoughtful, you will understand the message of the movie. The plot is really great, but what is really important is the message because it feels like a moral of a fable. Also, Stalker looks like a picture, is filmed with great composition, use of shadows, lights, and the use of silence makes every shoot very intense. However, in some parts of the movie, I found it to slow and unnecessary static long takes camera shots. Really great film, but it didn’t excite and feel enough to consider it a masterpiece.
