M, el vampiro de Düsseldorf (1931) - Filmaffinity
Fritz Lang is one of my favorite directors ever and also one of the greatest and most important because of all the innovations he made due to he was one of the first directors in history. M was his last film before going to the USA, escaping from the Nazis in Germany. I’m going, to be honest, and controversial here; in my opinion, M is not a top 100 of all time (neither top 500). Don’t get me wrong because I liked this film, the problem is that it is too old for the genre. Despite that the last 15 minutes are perfect and have probably one of the best speeches ever, the rest of the movie I found it predictable and not much interesting. But in defense, you can see that this film creates a huge amount of topics in the crime cinema and I think it has a lot of credit for that. I feel like if this film was made today, no one will find it a top 50 ever. Overall, it is a good film and in general, it feels modern. Punctuation: 3/5
