Burning

I’m a huge fan of South Korea cinema, I really like how they use violence, the plot twists and the direction style. Burning it’s very close to being a masterpiece, the only problems for me are that in the middle of the movie there are 15 minutes that were a bit boring. On the other hand, I love the end but not how it is made. The rest of the film is great. This is a gorgeous looking film with great performances and a very compelling story that makes you feel intrigued and uncomfortable as the main character. You only know what the main character knows, so you have to be aware of what he is looking at or see the little details that no one would tell you, it’s not a difficult movie but you have to be attentive. The music is also great as well as all the technical aspects. Another thing to add is the criticism of Korean society, especially to unemployment, inequality and young people's lives. Koreans have done it again, great movie. Punctuation: 4/5
