Dial M for Murder

If you are the kind of person who loves playing Cluedo or watching the great TV anime show Detective Conan you must watch Dial M for Murder. Alfred Hitchcock proves again with this movie why he is one of the greatest ever. The plot is fascinating and has a lot of details, you have to be very attentive to understand everything, there is a lot of dialogs and you have to listen carefully. These first two points (the plot and dialog) are the biggest strengths. The cast and their interpretations are really great, especially from Ray Milland, Anthony Dawson, and John Williams, but in some scenes, I found Grace Kelly's interpretation very “flat”. Don’t get me wrong she is a great actress. I didn’t find mistakes in this film but there are weak points: the music and the lack of outdoor scenes. This film in some scenes has aged a lot, I am aware of how old it is but for example, the film Rebecca is visually much better and older. I think that with some scene in a bar or on the street it would have helped. Nevertheless, I want to highlight that this movie has problems, I love this film and I recommend it to everyone, especially for those who like crimes, play Cluedo or read a noir novel.
