Jumanji: The Next Level

This is the sequel of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle of 2017. With the first part, I had a fantastic time, I found it funny, entertaining, nice cast. Despite it has problems like the dramatic sequences or predictable situations, it’s a perfect movie to watch when you don’t feel watching a serious film, or something intense and complicated. To sum up, it’s a film where its (it’s) unique purpose is to make us have a good time. The second part (Jumanji: The Next Level) is exactly the same movie, same plot, same characters, and, unfortunately, I think it is the worst. Due to the extreme similarities with the first part, it becomes boring because you know what's going to happen every single moment. The most negative point of its predecessor was the attempt of dramatism, in this sequel, there are more and no one is earned. They stop 10 minutes to explain an emotional problem with our main character and later there's no mention(s) about it, there are two new characters (the grandfather and his old friend) that except for the beginning, doesn’t add anything in my opinion. The final act tries to be epic and emotionally powerful but it felt boring and unnecessary. If I’m watching Jumanji, I want jokes, adventures and nothing serious and in this film, there are good moments like that. This film is watchable, I enjoyed more the first but if you are a fan of Jumanji or you had seen Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle from 2017 and if you don't feel like doing anything maybe it is a good option.
