Here's How I punctuate movies

0= stay at home

Terrible movie in all the aspects, everything wrong and very boring

Examples: Gods of Egypt, Batman & Robin, Catwoman ...

1= bad

You know the movie is bad, however, it's not terrible, it has something fun or entertaining (despite it is a bad movie)

Examples: Some Fast and Furious movie, Suicide Squad, The Mummy, 4 fantastic (2005) ...

2= enjoyable

While you watch the movie you get entertained and have a good time. But it is nothing special, it just entertains.

Examples: Jumanji: The Next Level, Some Fast and Furious movies, X-Men: Apocalipsis, It, Exodus: Gods & Kings ...

3= good (7/10)

It is interesting and well filmed. It has a few script errors and is consistent. It is entertaining but lacks a bit of depth in some respects.

Examples: The Book of Eli, Dolemite is my name, Baby Driver, Amélie, 300, The Man Who Wasn't There ...

4= very good

It is very interesting and very well filmed. It has almost no script errors and is very consistent. It is deep, intense and the film has a message.

Examples: L.A. Confidential, The thing, The White Ribbon, The Pianist, Do the right thing, All About Eve, JFK ...

5= masterpiece

Technically perfect, exciting, intense, it causes you sadness, nerves, happiness. It has a powerful message, it makes you think and reflect. It has to be entertaining and if it is not it has to justify it being slow. It should not have script failures and if it does, they must be replaced by something.

Examples: Persona, Three Colors: Blue, Rocco and his Brothers, Vertigo, Hereditary, The Dark Knight, Avengers: Infinity Wars, Incendies, The Godfather: Part II ...
